Soo, did they clone Tyrone first or Tom’s dog? More importantly, can we get both MJs cloned before the clone war ends? Seriously, is it just me, or does the current state of society feel like a villain has stolen the thingamajig and is trying to use it to open a portal for their dark lord?

About the -isms, a fella said - “You can’t argue with people that don’t read”. I think that we have to, without trying to win. Instead of being the prophet, be the inquisitor asking the questions they don’t yet have thoughts for. A stimulating question can be more productive than a stimulating statement, particularly when the challenge is resistance and/or ignorance.

I said I wasn’t, because I still hadn’t finished the Leonid McGill series, but I read Walter Mosley’s “Folding The Red Into The Black” anyway. This is a book I was working myself up to write. Sir Walter Mosley has offered gentlemanly criticism and sensible solutions on the politics of things in a crisp, non-hostile tone.

Folding the Red Into The Black has said most of what I think I was gonna say. Here are my only other two senses on the subject…

1. A Great American Rebrand. Create a New America. A new constitution. A new socioeconomic system. A new pledge of allegiance. New bumper stickers. A new everything. Ideally, this New America would sufficiently accommodate as many as it can.

Hypothetically: Americans will organically choose to be supportive and productive citizens if all of their basic needs (survival, love and belonging, power, freedom, and fun) are provided for. Strict totalitarianism aside, New America could be lit.

2. A Great American Exodus. You can’t please everybody. Allow for secession. Those who opt out of New America receive their severance/40 acres, and mule. They become independent nation states.

Hypothetically: Not as many as expected would choose to “fend for themselves”. Plenty shouldn’t. Still, imagine the possibilities for those who would leave.

I’m certain that America has “Heard it all befoore”. I feel like I’m just another sweet prophet tryna convince America she don’t gotta live like this. I don’t believe there’s much else to say that hasn’t already been said. At this point we might be talking ourselves out of the revolution.

Political writing is stupid. I’m going back to creative nonfiction.

This month has me feeling more spirited than usual. It’s prompted me to rant two times. If you need new therapy solutions, try ORIGAMI and RANTING. See if you can fold a square into a rose. A crane? If that don’t sustain, ask your person to let you rant an uninterrupted rant. If you don’t have a person, record yourself. Share it.
