Tari Ham, LCMHC, LCAS, CMC

Tari is a USAF veteran, and has been providing mental health counseling for over a decade. Therapeutic Living, PLLC provides individual, group, and family therapies to teens and adults. Tari’s passion for mental health counseling is rooted in the old proverb, “It takes a village”. He believe that a more intentional, authentic, and conscious S.E.L.F. is the key to cultivating community and healing. Talking therapy is one of the oldest and most effective prescriptions for those struggling to live honestly and at peace in their own experience.

“Our experiences are shaped by the world around us. I rely on my village daily, for my own personal growth and wellness. Contrary to how we talk about suffering, I’ve come to understand that mental health is a shared experience. We share the same needs/wants. It is the timing, intensity, and power to realize our needs/wants that separate us. I want to be a part of your village, to help you increase your personal power and connection to the larger community.”

Therapy

I utilize an eclectic person-centered approach to help you identify the barriers that challenge your ability to achieve healthy life outcomes.

It’s time that we rethink the way we talk about mental health. Therapeutic Living acknowledges that esoteric language can be more disabling than helpful. As opposed to mental health being an individual continuum from our best to worst self, we generally speak of mental health in the extremes-well/ill, sane/crazy, normal/abnormal. For these reasons, Therapeutic Living does not utilize psychological diagnosis in practice and “normal” is never used without air quotes.
